Arne Bang (1901-1983) ceramic

The Danish sculptor and ceramist Arne Bang (1901-1983) is educated from the Academy of Fine Arts and as a student of sculptor Ejnar Utzon-Franck in 1929. The characteristics of Arne Bang as a ceramist are his openness and curiosity to materials and their many possibilities. His ceramics are characterized by organic and sculptural shapes and are often seen with decorative swelling ribs or tight grooves. Arne Bang has designed everything from vases to lamp holders.
